Utility Discount Program (UDP)
UDP offers income-qualified customers a 50% discount on their Seattle Public Utilities bill and a 60% discount on their Seattle City Light bill. With the discounts, customers save an average of $1,200 a year.
Payment Plans
If you’ve received a bill or a notice that your account is past due, and you can’t pay the full amount right away, then you can make a payment plan. A payment plan allows you to pay the account balance in scheduled installments to avoid further collection action. Check the eligibility guidelines and apply online.
Emergency Low-Income Assistance (ELIA) Program
The ELIA program has been improved with expanded eligibility and more flexible benefits. ELIA participants may receive assistance up to 100% of their bill, maxing out at $200. Check the new eligibility guidelines to see if your household qualifies.
Shut-Off Notices
If you have received a shut off notice, please know that your power will not be shut during the Emergency Declaration. Call (206) 684-3000 to talk through options for payment plans and other assistance.
